When Vance Went to Munich. In 2025, America’ s Low Quality Vice President Set the Stage to Betray Europe. It was Munich 2.0
On February 14, 2025 J. D. Vance spoke at Munich's security conference.
Vance started out mentioning 'shared values', without elaborating what these in his opinion were. He emphasized a 'shared civilization'.
He called Munich, Bavaria' s capital, a 'beautiful community' (instead of a historically relevant city).
Vance stated, 'normally' one would discuss external threats at a security conference.
He added, Europe was going to have to 'step up in a big way’, without explaining what this meant.
Vance emphasized 'the threat from within', which meant a 'retreat from fundamental values'. (Which values?)
He emphasized, the 'biggest threat to European security' was NOT Russia.
Not living core values was the biggest threat.
The American vice president listed examples from Romania, Sweden and the UK, where courts in his opinion had misjudged. The issues concerned women's rights and national election laws.
What had 'happened to the winners of the Cold War' Vance asked, obviously having issues with the independence of (European) courts.
Without providing detail, Vance moved on to say: "Trump will do the opposite from Biden", adding Trump had an 'offer'. What the offer was, remained unclear.
Vance added, if "advertisement from Russian influencers influences your elections, then your democracy has not been strong enough in the first place".
Vance seems to be okay with Russian disinformation and / or with the manipulation of elections.
Vance concluded: "We do not know what we need to defend ourselves against".
Put differently: NATO as a security and defense alliance was irrelevant.
Vance called NATO a 'shared security compact'; not an alliance, and not an international organization devoted to collective defense.
America's vice president added, the 'crisis that Europe and we face' was of our own making; leaders were running from their own people.
Nothing could be done without a mandate.
"You cannot win a mandate by ignoring voices."
Which voices? Extremist voices? Vance does not elaborate.
O-tone Vance: "Dismissing people, shutting people out of the process, protects nothing".
(He misses to elaborate, who got dismissed or shut out).
"The voices of people matter", Vance states, without specifying who denied that people's voices matter.
Vance concludes: "If America can survive years of Greta Thunberg (as an influencer), then you can survive a few months with Elon Musk".
The 'business of democracy' meant to abjudicate freedom of speech at the ballot box.
Speaking up was not election interference, even if it was 'very influential people outside of your country'.
=> Vance is a demagogue, a propaganda spewing Goebbels 2.0. His speech could have been scripted in Moscow. Who would call NATO a 'compact’, instead of an alliance? Which American official would dismiss the relevance of the transatlantic and / or NATO alliance in such an unprecedented way? The question if Vance is a Russian asset is only logical.
